Peko Fish
Puntarenas, Costa Rica — Industrial Project — In Construction
Industrial infrastructure project designed to optimize the operational processes of the fishing industry through a functional organization of productive and logistical spaces. With an area of 4,776 m², the project was developed integrally by the BIOÁ team, encompassing architectural, structural, and complementary engineering design, as well as technical coordination across all disciplines.
The architectural design responds to the operational needs of a contemporary industrial plant, prioritizing efficiency in workflow, functionality of spaces, and durability of construction systems. The project organization contemplates clearly defined production, storage, and logistical circulation areas, allowing the optimization of internal processes and guaranteeing efficient operation.
The development involved a comprehensive process of multidisciplinary technical coordination and institutional management before various regulatory entities. The team led the permitting process and compliance with applicable industrial regulations, coordinating the technical requirements of all involved specialties — ensuring project viability from the design stage and consolidating proper articulation between architecture, engineering, and regulatory requirements.
Currently in the construction phase, technical monitoring is maintained throughout the building process to ensure that the architectural design materializes in accordance with the technical, functional, and constructive criteria established in the project.
